Activities for the next four days will be eating, eating, and then possibly some more eating, sprinkled with long naps. Super pumped for it! Last night (midnight to be exact), my family and I made suman (it's basically a rice cake wrapped and steamed in banana leaves). It's excellent with cocoa jam and sugar. Making it kind of made me feel like I was back in the Philippines.
I can't believe Christmas is already here! Hope everyone has an amazing, awesome, merry, and everything happy holiday!

My mom and I made siopoa today! It's a popular filipino steamed snack. It's basically a soft & semi-sweet dough with chicken/quail egg filling. I have this little goal of baking everything I pin from pinterest (such a dangerous goal...sweets will be the death of me). Next on the list is chocolate yogurt cake. I cannot wait...to eat it.
Finally took a break from instrumental music, and had Sa Isang Sulyap Mo and James Arthur's amazing Impossible version on replay.

Hello winter (well, in a week). This is one of my favorite spots at school. I come here to escape from classrooms and professors, just for a little while.
Finally finished with this semester! I don't even know where those four little months went...good riddance, I suppose? ha. Nonetheless, this semester has been the worst, but also the best semesters I've had. Odd, but it's true!
To help you get into the winter mood/festivities: Midwest Production & Le Long De La Reverie. happy happy!

Asheville is such a colorful and lively town, with amazing food and clean public restrooms. Stopped by a Himalayan restaurant that had hands down, the. best. curry dish and naan I've ever had.
Sungha Jung's Payphone composition has been on repeat this past week. Makes me want to play the guitar again.

Smokey Mountains & Chimney Rock. A week before the trees reached their peak color, but still beautiful. A wonderful break from a stressful semester.
On the other note, how is it that October is almost over??! I am not ready to say hello to November yet. This year has flown by. It's been a classical month, and what better way to end it than with Yiruma's A River Flows in You/Kiss the Rain and William Joseph's Beyond. :)

Welcoming every bit fall has to offer- cool&breezy weather, autumn flavored desserts, warm colors
splashed everywhere! and cozy naps. Can't believe October is almost here, madness. Little numbers,
Travelling, and Lady D'Arbanville are making these last couple of septemberdays quite pleasant. :)

Enjoyed a lovely weekend filled with good weather, food, sweets, friends, and family time (happy birthday
to my seester!). Now back to reality; I'll just be happy if I survive this week. At least my study nook is a
happy little corner.
I cannot get this melody and scene out of my head, it's absolutely beautiful.

Breaks from classes are always nice. Chose the mountain route (Grandfather's mountain & Linville falls)
over the beach for labor day weekend, and loved every bit of it.
Thanks to and we danced and 50 ways to say goodbye, the road trip there felt more like one hour
rather than three.
