Here are a couple of beautiful tunes: Earth Prelude and Fly by Ludovico Einaudi. My sister and I played Fly every time we drove through a tunnel, making our road trip a little bit more magical.

One of the things I love about  living in the middle of NC is that you can go to the mountains and to the beach within a couple of hours.

Hello Summer.

I spent the beginning of my summer in Bolivia building a rainwater harvesting system (more on the project here) with Engineers Without Borders NCSU. Seriously one of the best experiences of my life. Also helped that the six people I traveled with are some of the best people...in the world!

Welcome Spring.

It's a spring kind of week. Too bad spring break is over. One of my courses covers stream restoration, so it's interesting to explore streams with a whole new perspective. :)

more so than the food; malls, a.k.a sky scrapers; hot weather; monkey; palm trees; and crystal clear water, I miss the people. Especially my relatives.

Activities for the next four days will be eating, eating, and then possibly some more eating, sprinkled with long naps. Super pumped for it! Last night (midnight to be exact), my family and I made suman (it's basically a rice cake wrapped and steamed in banana leaves). It's excellent with cocoa jam and sugar. Making it kind of made me feel like I was back in the Philippines.

I can't believe Christmas is already here! Hope everyone has an amazing, awesome, merry, and everything happy holiday!
